Father's Day Stall
The P&C will be holding its annual Father's Day Stall next Wednesday 31st August during school time, and Thursday and Friday before school starts - or until stock runs out!!
All gifts are $5 and this year's selection includes coffee mugs, picture frames, car wash kit, handy collapsible bucket, beannie, sock & car sign, can cooler & coaster set and a torch which also doubles as a lantern!!
So, don't forget to send your $$ to school on Wednesday to get first pick and to help celebrate those special dads, step dads, grandpas, uncles that are so important in our lives.
Our P&C Team together with an energetic, committed and humorous group of parents and grandparents help plan and organise our fundraising activities throughout the year. The funds raised are given back to the school to fulfil a part of the annual ‘wish list' put together by the School Exec.
Fundraising efforts have recently contributed to the purchase of iPads, the school communication tool TiqBiz, sports equipment, Reading Eggs subscription and also towards bigger ticket items such as the new electronic sign board located on Warnervale Road!!
Fundraising activities have been numerous over the years and include:-
- Mothers and Fathers Day stalls run in-house every year
Warnervale Wonderland – a fun filled family day held at the end of the year for the whole school community to enjoy
- Easter Raffle – our ‘eggs-trodinary' raffle produces over 25 prizes every year
- Our Hot Cross Bun Drive - provided by our local Bakers Delight at Lake Haven
- BBQ – we are always ready to get the snags on whether it be an election day BBQ as a popular and accessible Polling Place or as a Bunnings Fundraiser at Lake Haven
- Warnervale Families Favourite Recipes cookbook
- Family Portrait Photography sessions
- Billy G's Cookie Dough fundraiser
- Smencils fundraiser
The P&C also run a second hand uniform shop located in the Canteen Office. Donations of used and clean good quality school clothing are gratefully received. Clothing can be purchased at a reduced price during canteen hours.
WPS P&C also supports the school's Harmony Day activities, Showcase and School Spectacular Performances, financial donations to various school sporting teams and individuals, Guitar Concert refreshments, World Teachers Day, Kindy Orientation, Australia's Biggest Afternoon Tea for Cancer Council and many other worthwhile recipients, organisations and events.
